Solution: There is a new feature now. You can customise what the "Standard Onscreen Buttons" in an "Activity" do. This solves the problem of greyed-out inactive pvr controls. I.e. you can choose what Menu,Guide,Info,Exit and Live TV etc.. buttons do. Unfortunately sequences don't work on them yet but Logitech have told me this is a known problem which should be solved around late November. The Menu, Guide, Info, Exit and Live TV buttons are also shown on the Numbers and Additional Buttons Screens.

Question: It seems the remote doesn't accept bitmap channel logos anymore, what size and format should channel logo's be to look there best?

I see these options under Standard buttons, but when I add commands to them they first remain greyed out on the remote and secondly, always display Menu, Info, Back and Eject. Is there no way to rename them yet?

They've *still* not fixed it correctly.

Channel images can be .jpeg, .gif, or .png.

For best results, use a .jpeg image with the following attributes:

* Width: 27 pixels
* Height: 23 pixels
* Maximum size of 160 KB

I had the same problem when I went to the PVR control screen on the Harmony 1000 I could see 4 greyed buttons labeled

List
A - Yellow Triangle
B - Blue Square
C - Red Circle

I wanted to assign the same colour buttons from the remote to these items however I could not find them when trying to customise buttons through the software set-up ,

SOLUTION

the support staff member assisted greatly in explaining how to fix this problem

He stated that depending on what activity is selected determines what buttons can be used and programmed, for this option for Foxtel ( Australian Satellite provider )PVR to show

Create new activity
Activity type - watch television
Watch TV - This is the recommended Activity for watching television. (Also used for watching Satellite).

This allows the buttons to be customised
