Hi,

I have a Pioneer 5016HD TV with a Harmony 880, with devices connected on all 3 of its component inputs as well as all 2 of its HDMI inputs.

The main problem is that the 5016HD does not have discrete codes for each input (at least, the 880 software does not provide any).

The second problem is that this TV detects when the HDMI inputs are "active" (i.e. the device connected to it is turned on). This means that pressing "input" will skip over any non-active HDMI inputs.

See where this question is headed? Because of the above two reasons, the 880 is never able to keep track of which input is being used.

Anybody know of a way to workaround this issue? Any and all help is appreciated!

Beside the HDMI, does the TV also skip any other inactive inputs? If so, re-check the TV Adjust Inputs setup and make sure your answered all the questions properly. Else, call Support.

See if there is an option in the TV to turn off that behavior.

For most of my customers, I program a "Start" activity in which I turn on all devices. I also program the remaining activities to leave on all devices. It sounds like a pain and not very efficient, but we do get less complaints due to devices not turning on and proper switching. The a/v designer I work with also prefers customers to have the maximum source/zone combos so "start" also helps because I don't want someone accidentally turning off the zone 2 source because they changed zone 1 activity. In your case the start activity would help since the remaining activities would not encounter a blank hdmi input while that source is powering up. With that issue resolved, working thru the input setup again as suggested above would probably help if not completely correct the problem. Once the Harmony macro feature is implemented, you can probably use it to address the problem by programming the order of delays, device power on, and input select.

I have a Pure/AV HDMI switcher which has a remote. In order to watch TIVO or BluRAy or Computer monitor, I must switch the A B or C. I cannot locate an appropriate name in the Harmony 880 remote to "learn" the Pure/AV HDMI switcher remote signal

Add Device -> Amplifier -> Audio/Video Switch -> Belkin -> Model Number
