This seems very easy but 2 days of programming and re-programming and speaking to 2, second tier tech supports the problem in their opinion cannot be resolved.

The trouble is I cannot map the Leviton Vizia controllers (2) to turn off when I end the watch TV activity (push off on the harmony). I have the RF controllers mapped to turn lights on when I start the TV activity and to dim lights 50% when I change to watch DVD activity and these work flawlessly. It seems to me they would include the ability to turn off lights using the off button. After the easy on, I'm required to press activities button, press page 2, Press RF control and then press All Off. There must be an easier way?? I have attempted to add a all off command within watch TV without success, it will not turn off the lights. The only way I have found to control the lights is to map from the scenes tab, both turn on and turn off are listed under a drop down tab and you can select only one option or to push through the above process. Any suggestions?

As unbelievable as it is, the harmony software does not have a feature to select a scene at the end of an activity. I have spent quite some time with the Harmony Support folks and they told me that they will be adding this to their software *some time*. It has been over 3 months since I asked this and they have not yet delivered it. The following is taken from the official FAQ about scenes:

"Note: It is not possible to map a scene to the end of an activity or when you press the OFF button."

Logitech's software has such a basic flow and they can't even fix it in some decent timeframe. This says a lot about the poor quality of software development for these remote controls. Does anyone at Logitech actually use the software that they produce on a daily basis?

This is a pain. I set up a function that is Everything Off. It is an activity with all my boxes off (except for the cable boxes) and the scene with the lights off. Instead of pressing the All Off button at the top, I use this activity to turn everything off. I have to press Activities then Everything Off, but it works.

You can get a free zwave lamp module if you own a 890 remote!

I'm going through the process of adding a z-wave device. I'm able to pair to the RZCZ1-1LX light controller with the remote and the Harmony Software also shows that it is paired. So then I go to run the update remote and it comes back with this error.
Java Error -- Context: ConfiguratorName=FrontLights -- 1 Parameters: java.lang.NullPointerException

This happens using the online member site or the software on my PC.

I am having the exact same problem only with a Intermatic CA5100. I spent all day on the phone with Logitech and they said they would send the claim to Engineering. I have not heard back from them in over a week. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Can you give me a step by step way of doing that. I try to add a new activity and the software has a regimented way of doing it where it turns on each item. Thanks

If you can give me access to your programming, I can figure a way around it. First you must have the "lights" as a device. That "device" has to be attached to every "Activity" that you use it for. After that it's just a matter of programming.
Im in NJ, if you need to speak with me, email me.

This is what I did when I had an 890. I had a "good night" activity that would turn everything off and switch off the lights.

Now that my 890 has died I have abandoned z-wave for insteon and am using a Smart Control with an IRLinc. It was expensive and painful to make the transition but I'm glad I did. Insteon has some really neat features and I'll bet you a nickel that Z-Wave isn't going to be seen in future Harmony products.
