Hi. I own a Pronto TSU3000 right now. However, my wife does not like the remote and wants an easy to use remote of her own. That is why we are thinking Harmony. I've heard nothing but great reviews. However I have one nagging question before we plunk down the money for a Harmony.

If we are using two remotes on one fairly complex Home Theater system (that has some components that don't have discrete codes for power and whatnot) will the Harmony not work as it should.

Example. If everything is off and I turn on the TV, Reciever, and cable box for some TV and she comes into the room and wants to watch a dvd, so she hits her DVD button, will the harmony think that the TV is off and try to turn it on? My philips tv doesn't have discrete codes, so doing so would just turn the TV off and cause more confusion than anything.

Thanks in advance for any and all answers that I get.

Yes - if you use any other remote to turn components on and off or do it manually then the Harmony's smart state will try to turn it on or off and if you don't have discretes it will get out of sync. The good news is you can use the Help button to put it back in sync.

You could use the Harmony for activity selection, then use your Pronto once you're in the activity. Just remove the power and input macros from your Pronto setup.

Or switch to the Harmony.
