If I'm watching a DVD or VCR tape. when I use any of my control the lights activities my DVD and/or VCR are issued a "stop" command and I can't figure out why. Thoughts?

Using the web based setup, select "Customize" for the Lighting Activity, then "Change options"

You will see an option for turning off unused devices...set this to "Leave on"

Go to "Change options" for your DVD and VCR activities. There will be an option for "Send Stop on exit". Set this to "Do not send stop".

You shouldn't really have a light control activity - just add the lighting controls to your regular activities. You can always get to the light controls by pressing Device, then selecting the light controller. Pressing device twice will get you back to the Activity you were in without sending any commands.

This did the trick, thanks!

As far as lighting activities, I might not always want the same lighting mood for a activity all the time.

I have 4 moods, Movie, Dim, Brighter and All Full. I might not want "movie" everytime I "Watch DVD". This way I can control the lights as seen fit regardless of what activity I'm doing. The drawback is that if I'm Watching a DVD and need to change lights, I have to redo the Watch DVD activity .... not a biggie

Just press Device, then select light controller and you have instant access to the lighting commands. Press Device twice and you're back in the Watch DVD activity without having to go through any activity start/stop sequences.

If you have a remote with picture or sound buttons you can teach those commands to either the display device or A/V receiver and have them available via one button press.

You don't need an activity.
