I am considering purchasing a Harmon Kardon TC30 which uses the Harmony software. My one concern is that I have a Samsung DVD/CD/VCR combo unit and I was wondering how well the TC30 will control this. I assume you would just set up a profile for each function of the unit. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks,

I have a Sony DVD Recorder/VCR unit. Depending on how you use it, that may determine how many "activities" you need. Essentially, you will set up a single device (the model of your combo unit). You will then create several activities that use this device. For instance:

Watch Movie (uses the combo + tv + maybe your stereo)
Watch Tape (uses the combo + tv + maybe your stereo)
Listen to CD (uses the combo + stereo)

If you plan to record DVD's you might have a "Record DVD" activity.
It's pretty straightforward once you reprogram your brain to think in terms of activities rather than devices.
