I want to buy a logitech harmony remote to control :
My Bush TV, Ronin DVD player, Bush Freeview Box, Logitech spekaers and my freecom mediaplayer-35.
I have looked at these 2 remotes. and just want to know which one i should get?

The 659 or the 525?

Which is better?

Thanks

Depending on what you feel is important (and off the top of my head):

Style: 659 peanut shape feels better than the 525 rectangle
Skip/Repeat buttons: 525 has them, 659 does not
Sound/Picture buttons: 659 (and 555) has them, 525 does not
Custom buttons: 659 has 6, 525 has 4
LCD screen: 525 looks better, IMO
hard coded activities: 659 has 3, 525 has 0.

I think the sound and picture buttons are important if you frequently need to asjust sound related (eg. receiver sound fields, etc) or picture related (eg. aspect, zoom, etc) stuff. If you want them too, check out the 555.

Think ill go for the 659. even though i will lose the skip/repeat buttons.
Does that mean i wont be able to go forward a chapter on a dvd?

It's customizable of course, but my DVD activity uses the channel +/- buttons to skip chapters. Works great because you don't need the channel buttons otherwise.

Final thought....
Do these remotes work with windows media center edition / windows vista home premium?
I dont have a remote for my windows media center PC, but can i just buy a normal infrared adapter/reciever for my computer, and use it with the logitech harmony remotes to control my media center pc?
Thanks

Technically - yes. But it's not necessarily easy.

Nope - just do a search for media center.
