I love my 880 but it's achilles heel is that the IR beam seems very narrow and when pointed at the tv often misses some of the components located 4 feet to the side. I was curious if anyone wno has used both remotes can confirm that the IR is stronger on the 1000 or if it is the same

thnks

I dob't know what thye 880 is like but I do know I was not real thrilled with the output of my 1000. I use it in my bedroom and foun that when I was in bed I had to tilt it toward the screen. The RF extender solved this problem nicely.
