Hi there,
just got my new Harmony 555 and an IR USB dongle - works like a charm. But I'm unsure which settings I should use for the remote. I tried to use different tv sets with vcrs, but not all buttons on the remote are assigned. Which "scheme" do you use for controlling your PC?

I picked a random Windows Media Center PC, an HP one I think. I think all the Media Center remotes are the same, and my Harmony basically now acts like one. There's even a "Media Portal" device you can add on the Harmony web site, that's the open source HTPC software I use.

Once that's done you'll have to go through the time-consumming process of learing every command in Girder and assigning it to a key stroke or whatnot. I can send you my Girder file if you like.

Thanks, but I just used a TV (some Samsung thingie), re-mapped the keys within the Harmony Center and checked the codes with Girder. Works well :)
