I have a Harmony 1000 with an activity, watch TV, I want access to the light dimer buttons within that activity so I add the light control into the activity. However when I start that activity it turns the lights on. How do I keep access the buttons but prevent it from turning the lights on when it starts the activity.

I've got it setup so it does not turn them off but can not seem to find the place to set it so it does not execute any command to the lights when starting.

Try setting the light controller device option to "leave on all the time". If that doesn't work call support - it's a bug.

I'm having the same problem. I called tech support and he told me the same thing, but it doesn't work. No matter what I put for the power settings, it still turns the lights on.

There are two settings - "leave on all the time" and "no power buttons". Try both. If they don't work call support - it's a known problem with certain devices.
