Hello,
I have a 880 and 659 that do the same thing. When powering off (power on is ok) my Pioneer DVR 533 H-S it will turn it off then back on 99% of the time.
The Poineer needs to be off to update the EPG info every night so leaving it on all the time is not an option.
Any ideas on what to do ?

Try the off command in device mode. If it works there, make sure that command is configured in the power settings. If all that matches or if the off command in device mode still doesn't work right, try relearning the off command in RAW mode.
