I had another Harmony and used the select, play, select, 30, select code to use the commercial skip feature. When I use it with my 880 the code needs to be entered, used (skips to end of program), entered again and then it works until the TV is turned off. Then I have to start all over. Is there a new code or a new trick to get it to work without redoing every time?? HELP

I asked this before, but my thread seems to have disappeared. Sorry if it is a repeat question.

I assume you have a Tivo? That code should be good until the Tivo is reset. Has nothing to do with the remote or the TV. Are you entering the code manually or do you have it programmed as a pseudo-macro?

I enter it manually, what other way can I do it? I know it needs to be re entered if Tivo resets itself, but this is everytime I turn the TV off and back on. If I don't turn the TV off it stays programmed. How do I program it "pseudo-macro"?

You have to do it at the beginning of an activity or by using multiple devices in an activity. When you press a button in an activity it will send a command from each device (each column on the setup page) that has a command defined. You shouldn't need to do that in this case.

Try it with the Tivo remote and see if you get the same behavior relative to turning the TV off and back on. Nothing you do with the TV should interfere with the Tivo hack. If it is then the TV power commands must be resetting the 30 second skip somehow.

Or maybe your Tivo is powered from a switched outlet that is turned off when the TV is turned off.
