A local store has new Harmony SST-748s for sale for $40. I saw some reviews from 2003. This was a product from Intrigue Technologies prior to Logitech's purchase of Intrigue and is not current, obviously. I notice that this item is not on the Logitech web site. It has very few buttons and uses a scroll wheel and the display. The price at the time it was new was $200. Has this thing become obsolete or is there some other drawback? Is supported by Logitech or is it an orphan? Is it a buy or a dud?

I had one of those for about 5 years. I bought it brand new. It's been completely dibiliated, since there are NO number buttons on it you have to manually scan through the channels. However, I complained to Logitech a great deal over the past couple of months and they sent me a brand new 880 remote to replace my old one. SO you're taking a risk. Besides the whole TV channel thing, it's an AWESOME remote and worth every penny. As long as you don't have 600 channels.
