Turning off the panel display on my Rotel RSP-1068 preamp is done by keeping the Menu key on the original Rotel RR-1050 Remote pressed down for about 4 seconds.
This Rotel 1068 panel on/off command is not available in the Logitech database. (The database command set is rather generic, treating 1068 as a receiver and not a preamp. The software therefore insists on using the 1068 as a tuner in the Listen to Radio activity, instead of my TV set top box, which is also a radio tuner. But this is another issue, which I have managed to work around...).
I have tried to let the Harmony software learn the panel on/off command in Raw Mode, but the software appears not to recognize the command when I keep the key pressed for more than about 2 seconds.
I have no further information on what command or command sequence is actually sent from the Rotel remote. The manual just tell me to keep this key pressed to toggle the panel display on/off. Since there is no setup option that lets me turn the panel display permanently off, I need to perform this operation every time I turn on the preamp (at least when using it with the projector). Unless I can reproduce the panel off operation with my H895, I cannot get rid of the Rotel remote.
Any good suggestions out there?
