Hello,

I have had the 659 for some time now and it has worked like a champ, until we got Dish network a bit ago. For the life of me I can not get the Dish receiver to work with the 659. I know this will sound like a stupid question but here it goes anyway. When looking up the model number on the receiver I find two different numbers. One says Dish 322 and one that says Ehcostar. Which one of these is suppose to be used? I tried both and neither one seems to work.

Thanks in advance
Rick

Most Dish receivers use RF for the OEM remote out of the box and need to have the IR mode enabled. Check the Dish owner's manual (Echostar owns Dish Network).

I have a Dish 311 and I used Dish as the model to set up my 659. I also have a Dish 625 and I used Echostar to set it up. Don't remember why. Maybe it was trial and error. Are you trying to control the 322 from the same room it's in? If so, the IR should work because it is a dual tuner, dual output with 1 IR remote and 1 RF remote. If you are in the same room you may have to teach the 659. There are instructions on the site. If you are trying to control the 322 from different room then you will need an IR repeater.

Thanks guys. After trying all I knew how, which isn't much, I got in touch with tech support level 2. From my understanding he had to do something in the length of time the remote was sending the Dish receiver the signal. It's working perfect again. A big kudos for this forum and to the support team at Harmony.

Once again thank you.

Rick
