Here is the problem that I am having with setting up this remote: I have a pretty new rear projection TV and I know that turning it on and off, in short periods of time, is not good for it and also time consuming. I want to set the TV to “always on” but, I want to be able to turn it on and off with the 880 and when I turn it on for it to go to the right input. I have tried and tried and can not figure this one out. I have set up custom buttons in all activities that give me the on/off feature but if I turn off the TV while it’s in one activity (input) and then start another activity (after I have turned everything off) later, I have to use “help” to get it back in sync. Any suggestions?

Either control the TV power manually (the remote never sends any power commands) or let it do it's thing. The only time it would be turned off and back on immediately is if you're in an activity, press OFF then immediately select another activity. Why would you do that? In addition if you do the power manually then you also have to do the input selection manually thus defeating the main advantage of having the harmony in the first place. If you're just switching activities that all use the TV it will stay on.

...And if you have an activity that does not usually use the TV, but you want the TV to stay on, then just add the TV device to that activity.
