Hi,

I want to use 890 to control a z-wave plug-in (which I can plug-in to the wall and that can be turned on and off using 890).

Has anyone been able to do this with 890? How good is the z-wave support in 890 right now? Do you have any recommendation for a specific z-wave plug-in device?

thanks,
Osho

I use the ACT HomePro ZDP200 (EU Version) with my 895 without any problems. So I think you can use the ZRP100 (on/off) or ZDP100 Plug-in (dimmer) module with your harmony 900.

I've got some Vizia-RF modules from Lutron that work fine.

thanks

Not a brick & mortar store, but it might work for you:

New Feature: 890 and 895 Z-Wave support

The information in this article applies to the following products:
H890
H895

Logitech is pleased to announce that the remote control software has been updated to allow users to setup and control Z-Wave devices. Read the instructions below for information about configuring your remote to control Z-Wave devices as they differ for new users and returning users.
New Users

New users who create an account after December 12, 2006 will be asked to configure their Z-Wave Devices with their remote in the Add Devices step of the initial setup.
Returning Users

If you created your account prior to December 12, 2006, you may not see the proper navigation needed to setup your Z-wave devices. Login to your account and look on your home page. Do you see two tabs called Z-Wave and Scenes? If not, please follow these steps to gain access to these two tabs:

1. Click the Remote Settings tab on your home page.
2. Click the My Remote button.
3. Click the Remove button under the Action column beside the remote.
4. Select Yes and click Next when asked if you are sure you want to remove the remote from your account.
5. Connect the remote to your computer via the USB cable and click Next.
6. Click Next when the connectivity is complete.
7. Log out of your account.
8. Log back in and the Z-Wave and Scene tabs will now appear in the account.

For help configuring your Z-Wave devices with your remote, click the More Help button in the Tip Center and Search for the term "Z-Wave".
