I have my HR10-250 setup and it works perfect for all buttons.

My problem is with the HR20-700:
the buttons for stop/replay/skip/play and rec/rew/fwd/pause don't work, simply stated nothing happens, they do work perfect on my HR10-250 tho.

Has anyone had this problem and solved it?

Thanks for any help in advance

Yes, I did the search on both HR20 and HR20-700 and didn't find anything dealing with this problem, prior to requesting help here.

I had hoped that this had happened to previous Harmony Owners before and they had an answer, so.................................. perhaps not

I had a similar problem with my 720 where most of the transport keys didn't work. Took it back to Target and got a new one - no problems now.

In this case, it would appear that the problem is not the hardware device remote itself, since those same buttons are working fine for my HR10-250, I did try to relearn those buttons and it said it did, but when finished, they still don't work on the HR20-700, but do however continue to work on the HR10-250.

I just programmed my 880 for the HR20-700 also, and the buttons for play, rewind, etc don't do anything at all. I had to go back in and manually program these buttons with functions. I was kinda disappointed in this. I would have thought by now that Logitech would have all these automatically programmed.

I have the 880 and HR20-700 also. The remote that came with the DVR has the 30 second skip button. I tried to learn the code to the forward skip button on the 880 and it does nothing. During the learning process it confirmed it learned the code.

I tried this several times with no success. Ideas? I have learned other keys from other remotes, not a problem there. And, I tried raw mode, still no can do.

Thanks in advance!

That key may be dead. Try mapping the learned code to a different button, or try it from Device mode.

EDIT: I'm an IDIOT! In fact akirby, the key was dead... because I killed it! For some reason I blanked out the drop-down list for that key. A very dee dee dee move on my part. All is well!

OK, I've tried different keys, creating a custom key, raw and regular learn mode, still nothing!

I visited

[Link: logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com]

and took their advice of covering the remotes to limit light, also experimented with distance and found the two had to be very close together, 1-2", to get the confirmation.

I learned the "Back" command to the down-arrow button on the 880 no problems, so it is possible to learn from the HR20 remote.

Stumped!
