Has anyone figured out a way to program the 880 so you don't have to hit the guide button 2 times to get to the actual guide on the Hr20-700? I don't know why Directv decided this was a good idea.

Try this:

[Link: dbstalk.com]

Here's a trick for Harmony users who don't like having to press Guide twice to get to the guide: Tell it that you want to learn a new code for your TV, but press the Guide button on the DirecTV remote. Then just set it up like I have shown below, and the remote will send the Guide command twice when you press the button. It happens so fast that you can't even see the category list come up.

Has anyone had a problem with guide button since they changed the website? All of the sudden when I hit the guide button it sends out the signal for 9 seconds. I tried reducing all of the delays on all devices and that is not helping. Everything else works fine. Any ideas?

The latest National firmware version, Ox134, for the HR20 NO LONGER requires two presses of the Guide button to access the Channel Guide.

In SOME cases it may be necessary to activate this new feature. Here's how:

1. On the front of the HR20, press and HOLD the Guide Button.
2. While HOLDING the Guide Button, press and release the Active Button.
3. Release the Guide Button.
4. Press Exit on the remote.
5. Press the Guide Button on the remote to verify the change.
6. Repeat if one press of the remote's Guide Button does not bring up the Channel Guide.

Now TWO presses of the Guide Button will bring up a Category screen not the Channel Guide.

Before attempting the above, verify the firmware version on your H20 by going to:
Menu-->Help & Settings-->Setup-->Info & Test-->Press Select Button-->Press Right Arrow.

Scroll down to see the firmware version on your receiver.

In Activity "Watch TV" I get the HR20 To Do List by pressing the LCD "List" key, then pressing the LCD "Yellow" key.

I saw this post and I had a question I just had the HR20-700 installed and I cant get it to work with my Harmony 676. What is the exact title that you used when you set up the PVR with your Harmony? What else did you do to get it to control the PVR? Even when I put the remote into device mode, none of the commands work. So I must have done something wrong. I have used so many variations of the name of the device (eg HR-2 700, HR 20-700S,etc) Thanks

On my 880, I set mine up as a PVR using HR20-700 and all commands work well. I used the website login when I set it up.
