I am using my 895 to control a HTPC. It seems the RF extender takes about 200-400ms before it sends a command AFTER it has received it. I have verified this by actually looking at the IR-transmitters through a camera (try it if you didn't know you could do that!). The RF extender flashes telling me it got the RF-signal, and then it for some reason waits before it transmits my signal (have tried both sending on ALL or sending on just A).

I can see that for every key-press the harmony sends three IR-signals (two repeats). I want to change this as it seems to slow the sending down. Anyone knows how?

I have set the key-delay to 0, down from 100. No change. Instead of sending the commands really fast it buffers them, sending about two per second.

Would really appreciate any input on this. Slow response is so frustrating :)

I have made some pretty interesting finds the last hour. First I changed repeat to one and YES the inter-key delay was lowered to an acceptable rate. One problem down.

I then tried re-learning UP/DOWN on the remote, and kept LEFT/RIGHT as the original to see if the actual IR-codes had anything to do with the initial delay problem.

It definitely seems so.

UP/DOWN got a bit faster response-time. It does make a difference. HOWEVER, it got considerable longer inter-key delay just as if the delay was actually inside the ir-code at the end. Meaning it started buffering them again.

So it seems the new ir-codes had less initial delay problem but a lot more inter-key delay problem. With this information maybe someone has experience with this type of problem?

Also, there might still be a bug with the inter-device and inter-key delays (crisscrossed and/or added together).

I second that from personal experience. Here's to Logitech to fix this nuisance with the next firmware update...
