Hi,

Recently I replaced one Digital settop box (Samsung) with another (Thomson). After my first update to my 880/885 (Europe) I found that the numbers 0-9 are sent to both my TV and to the settop box. So when I use TeleText at channel 1, entering page "805" sends me to channel 5 in the settop andsoforth...

I removed the buttons 0-9 from the settop. In the mapping I can only see the numbers 0-9 mapped in the TV device.

Yet, still, every number I send still changes the channel to the settop! I uploaded several times, no effect...
Is there a way to solve this without having to remove the device and adding again? I hate that... ;-)

Thanx,

Jeroen

It's possible the TV and set top box are using the same codes. Try them in Device mode individually and see if both respond. If they do try the OEM remotes. If they both still respond then see if either one supports alternate IR addressing. If not you're SOL.

If it's just in the activity and not in the devices then you'll have to delete and re-add the activity. If that doesn't work call support because it has to be a bug.

Thanx for the tips...The individual devices work fine so they're not using the same codes. I will rebuild the activity and see what happens...

Update:

Creating a new activity did not help. I mailed Support with the problem, and they called me back after a few days.
They created a seperate TeleText activity with just the TV in the device list. They also had to change te "leave devices powered on" to pull this off, otherwise the settop box would power off when changing the activity. No problems there.
Works fine!
They also tweaked some other options while helping me, great service. And spoken in Dutch too, even while calling from the USA (I guess, they told me it was 3:30pm overthere while I was getting ready for bed ;-)

I'm not sure if I have the same issue but because of te copy button assignments feature it sometimes happens that in one and the same activity a button is assigned for two devices. I also have a "watch tv" and a "teletext" activity.

Hi,
I just purchased a Harmony 885 remote yesterday - and all my devices work on it except for my Cable box:

Thomson DCI 35 ETI (Cable, openTV EN2, 0102, 3.0, E-Vision)

I live in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and my TV provider is E-Vision which used the above Cable box. I tried eveything possible on the configuration of the remote, in terms of learning all the button necessary to program them into the harmony from the original remote provided by E-Vision with the cable box. It doesn't work. Any button i
press doesn't get read by the cable box. No signal seems to be reveived, even though on the small screen or the harmoy you can see that a signal is being sent.

Could you please tell me what to do? All other devices are working great (Panasoni, Philips, JBL)!

Appreciate your support.

Go to the Device settings for the cable box and try "confirm IR language".
