When using Picture Mode on my 550 I'm getting some very weird behavior. When I go into Picture Mode and hit Menu, it brings up the TV menu (good) as well as the PVR guide (bad). Then when I navigate the TV menu with the directional buttons it properly navigates the TV menu, but it also navigates the PVR guide at the same time. Then when I hit OK to finalize a setting it also selects the highlighted show in the PVR guide. When I try to configure Picture Mode on the Harmony site it only lists commands for the TV, which is good, so why is it sending commands to the TV as well as the PVR?

On the 659 and 680, if a key is not assigned in Picture/Sound mode, then it sends the command from the "main" device for that activity. In your case, that would be your PVR. Check the Picture key mapping from the activity button customization (instead of from the TV device customization). Also make sure you map any key you plan to use for the Sound/Picture mode - don't leave it/them blank unless you want the one(s) from the "main" activity device. The "main" activity device is the 1st one listed on the left.

Also make sure that the TV and PVR aren't using the same commands. Try the TV commands in device mode and see if you get the same behavior. If not then it's the Picture button setup as Jlet described or it's a bug. If it just started happening try redownloading your config.

I have the same problems. I have been on line with customer support. They confirmed it is a bug. It should be repaired with the end-november software update

OK So now it's end of Jan.

And I just spent a while setting up my 550. I never installed the software from the disk - it downloaded automatically from Logitech. I have version 7.0.2 of the programming software. And I'm a little bit pissed to see this huge freakin' bug still exists.

Frankly, the fact that such a fundamental screw-up made it out the door, has damaged my faith in Harmony (post Logitech buyout). I had their very first model the 745 I think it was, then I got (2) 768s. Lastly this 550. And it might be the last.

They took macros away and I guess this was to be the replacement. What a disaster.

EDIT: Tier 2 Support says they fixed it or thought they fixed it, and now the problem has returned. They also said it was the LOWEST PRIORITY bug. So I'll wait & see what the 'database guys' say next week.
