I have programmed my remote to include the following. Note that I am using the latest software and latest firmware.

Devices: 8
Activities: 4

The order of activities are
1. watch DVD
2. Play VCr
3. XBOX Media
4. Watch TV

Issue # 1:
After I choose an activity (for e.g. 'Watch TV'), I am stuck with the devices buttons of that activity ONLY. I cannot access 'Devices' or 'Activities' button at all!!!

But if I remove the batteries and put it back, I can access the 'Devices' and 'Activities' even though I am in a particular activity. This is fine for some time, but after 20-30 mins, the problem appears and I cannot access those buttons at all.

The side affect of removing the battery is, I loose some device specific settings. For Eg. I have set the delay to my replaytv PVR different than 'factory default'. But I loose this setting if I do the battery exercise.

Issue #2:
when I choose my activity 'Watch TV' for the FIRST time after I upload my configuration to remote, it always execute the first activity 'Watch DVD'. This is happening for the FIRST time only. Any subsequent click on 'Watch TV', works fine.

Any suggestions on how to fix these problems?
Thanks

This is not normal behavior. You might try updating the firmware from the web site and the re-updating your remote.

I'm not sure what the effect of battery removal is. Once I lost all settings on a 520 after a battery change. But I've changed the batteries on a 360, which is a very similar model, and lost nothing.

Thanks. I called logitech support, and they asked me to do the firmware upgrade in 'safe' mode. This resolved my issues. It is really surprising that even though I did firmware upgrade couple of times, when in safe mode, it still showed that I have the old version (2.0).
