I used to think the URC device pages where bad (functions and layout). The Harmony device mode pages are really poor with over 1/2 the functions not working and the editor difficult to use. Sure it's great to have it build the macro for the activity, but unless you have meaningful device mode pages it kind of makes you wish you didn't press the activity button. Why don't these remote companies put more thought and time into device mode page functions and layout?

Because the Harmony remotes are ACTIVITY based remotes. When they are set up properly you should almost never need to use the Device mode. Add all your commonly used commands to your activities (Activity -> Customize -> Change behaviour of buttons)

So your saying whatever buttons are on the activity page after an activity macro is finished shouldn't matter. Are you kidding? All remotes have unique functions that are needed. Having to go in and change behaviiour buttons is a PITA for this web based editor.

You were talking about device mode pages in your original post, now you have changed your beef to activity mode pages.

Activity mode pages definately do matter, however the setup cannot read your mind as to exactly how you want your activity pages organised. It will have a go at a basic layout, but it is up to you to customize it to your liking.

It would be nice if everything was set up perfectly for everyone first go, but it's not exactly feasible with so many different combinations of equipment for one activity.
