I have all my components set to run sound through my Yamaha reciever.
The units are
Panasonic dvd recorder
Pioneer dvd/hard drive recorder
yahama reciever
sony TV
My problem is that if I am recording using the Pioneer and watching a program recorded previously on the Panasonic the sound of what is being recorded is what I hear and not what I am trying to watch.
Sorry I did not mention I am using the Harmony 525 remote

Which inputs are you using on the Yamaha for the Pioneer and the Panasonic? Digital or analog? Are you also using the Receiver for video switching or do they go straight to the TV for video?

You've either got the digital audio inputs mapped incorrectly or the receiver is not on the right input.

If you switch the inputs using the Yamaha remote - does it still happen?

Sorted Thank you. I set the Panasonic output to CD and the Pioneer to DVD.
