I've noticed that when I use the fast forward and play features for my Explorer 8300HD, which essentially acts like a PVR, the commands to play and fast forward seem to have a delay in their actions. I've checked the delay feature for the remote, and it seems to be set to 0ms for this device. Am I missing something? Is there a way to increase the speed in which the device (8300HD) responds to commands?

Any help would be appreciated...

I checked the following:

Power on Delay = 3000ms
Inter-key Delay = 0ms
Inter-Device Delay = 1000ms

Which of the above should I adjust to solve my problem?

Have you tried reducing the number of repeats?

Go through the Troubleshooting. You are looking for a complaint option something like "The Device responds too much (or too little) to some commands."

Think I found it. It gives you the option to increase or decrese the setting. I'm currently at 3. I think I'll bump it up to to 4 and give it another shot...

You need to also decrease the inter-device delay. Due to a software bug, the sum of both the inter-key and inter-device delays is invoked. I use the following values for my SA8300HD:
Power On Delay = 100 ms
Inter-key Delay = 0 ms
Inter-Device Delay = 100 ms
Number of Repeats = 3 (default)
H659, H680, SA8300HD, TH-50PZ850, AVR-X4000

For faster response, you usually want to decrease the number. If you decrease it too much, the symptom is that the device starts occasionally failing to register commands.
