I am in the market for a remote & am considering the 3 mentioned above. I want it to be able to control my toshiba tv, toshiba dvd/vcr combo unit, hughes pvr, & onkyo receiver, so I dont need it to control a lot of equipment. I like a bright lcd & backlight, as well as ease of use of tivo comands, which I use all the time. The 880 seems to not be layed out well as far as tivo controls go, but does have the bright screen & large display. I also adjust sound settings & modes depending on the source & have read that the sound & pic button on the 680 are helpful with that. the 550 looks pretty nice as far as bright blue lighting, but have heard it is not as solid in build as the others. how is the 680 screen & backlight? Help & suggestions please
Chris

I think that the 5xx and 6xx series are about equally well built. The screen quality of the 5xx series is very much better than the 6xx series.
