the 890 software has been updated to 6.254 today... after updating i am no longer able to connect my remote or my extender... good job logitech :/

jabronie505: I just needed to reboot the computer, then the logitech software could connect to my remote. before that it didn´t work correctly.

In my account there is only the 4.4. version because I have the 885.
So can you please check this for me?

I updated my software as well as new firmware for both remote and extender. It took forever because of all the errors you typically get. Now that it updated successfully, nothing works!!! WONDERFUL!!

After updating the firmware, the remote and extender no longer communicated. Level 2 tech told me how to "reboot" the wireless extender: plug in power, then press and hold the Connect button; the status led will light up. After about 10 seconds, the status led will blink rapidly and fade out. Release the button, and the extender is now 'rebooted'. For safe measure, also remove the remote's battery for a few seconds and re-install.
The set synchronized imeediately afterward.

Finally getting somewhere...uninstalled 6.2.1 and re-installed. Now the softare took update to 6.2.5.4..tried lots of times to update this is the only way it worked for me.

Extender and remote updated without issue and now talk to each other. Range is still an issue but I'm most of the way there now..

That is what I was looking for...if you have 6.2.1 there is no later link.

However 6.2.1 will not update to 6.2.4X without help. You need to uninstall it first.

Then re-install it and it will update fine...don't know why but that is straight from logitech...it works.
