When y'all say to create a dummy device, do you mean to pick any old device and just have the Harmony learn the commands for the device you really want?

For example, I want to turn on my subwoofer when I "WATCH TV" There is no subwoofer device online. So I should pick "any device" and just teach the remote the on/off for the sub, change the name of the device to "SUB" and then add turning on the "SUB" to the end of my "WATCH TV" activity? Right?

thanks

eric

You could add the subwoofer commands to your TV or amplifier. Then you could add turning on the subwoofer to the start of the activity and turning it off to the end of the activity.

Alternatively, you could define the subwoofer as a separate device of type Amplifier, teach it the needed commands, and add it to your activities.
