I'd like to be able to program my VCR from the Harmony remote, but I haven't figured out a good way to do it yet. My VCR is a Mitsubishi HS-U680.
I can do it by going to All Commands and laboriously finding the right commands to send. There is the Menu/Guide submenu in Control mode, which might be good, except there is no Enter menuitem, which is required for programming.
Also I tried to remap the direction buttons in Control mode to do up/down/menu and enter, but they remain the Pause/Stop/Rew/Play buttons.
Ultimately a Program mode would be nice, or maybe just a way to rename and remap a submenu item. Or perhaps a Record a program activity.
Thanks for listening

You can do what you want with the hard button remapping utility (new feature). To remap your hard buttons in the "control" sub menu only of the activity where you want to be able to control your VCR, select the "control menu" from the drop down list, you will only remap the buttons when you change the remote into "control" menu within an activity, say "Watch Television" The hard buttons will remain as they are programed now, in all other modes of the "Activity" and will only perform the functions you have remapped if you switch to "control mode".
