My harmony remote is an SST 659 and it has stopped responding completely. I was changing channels and pressed the previous button and the activity light came on and stayed on. I removed the batteries and replaced them and now nothing. I have tried fresh batteries and that still does nothing. I have tried to get the PC to recognize the remote both with and without batteries and the PC does not even see the remote is attached. I have tried it on different PCs all with the same result, nothing. Is there anything that can be done for this remote? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill.

Call tech support(not email) and they will talk you through some troubleshooting.

I called tech support last night and tried their troubleshooting steps to no avail.
The remote is dead, long live the remote.
they referred my case to the RMA department for repair and said i should hear back in 1 to 2 business days. anyone out there had any dealing with their repair process and associated costs?
Thanks.

One of the buttons on my H659 became delaminated (that is, the top, shiny surface came loose from the rubberized button). Harmony's tech support (this was before Logitech acquired Harmony) determined that my registered remote was still under warranty and cross-shipped a new remote to me. (That is, they charged my credit card for a new one, then refunded my payment when they received my old one.) My only cost was return shipping, as I recall. Back then, by the way, the warranty was only applicable to remotes purchased from certified Harmony retailers. I had purchased mine online, but they honored the warranty anyway.
