Has anyone figured a way to simulate the sound button from other models? I used the sound button on my 680 all the time and would love to have the same functionality on my 880.
Thoughts?

The best you can do is setup a dummy device or activity but you can't switch with one button press.

Trade your 880 for the PRO version. The Sound and Picture buttons are back on the 8xx PRO version.

I recommend adding all of the Sound features you need to one of the Activity screens. I recently swapped my 680 for a 360, in part because I appreciated the fact that the 360 did not waste buttons on Pic and Sound, which I found that I hardly ever used.

Yeah, that's what I ended up doing on my 880. The good news is there are more than enough button/spots on the display to add what I needed.

I'd love to add a custom activity for sound fields and aspect ratio (I currently have a generic device for each). But, I don't want the 880 to turn other devices on or off when I go to the custom activity. Is there a way to customize the power states for this one activity only?

Enable the "Leaves unused devices on" under your "custom" Activity > Customize > Change Options.

I don't care much for the 8xx since I have a 680. The only PRO version I have heard of is the expensive 890 PRO. It seems the Pro series will be primarily sold through custom installers and audio/video dealers. The 890 PRO is discussed in these threads: " [Link: remotecentral.com]" " [Link: remotecentral.com]" You can see the 890 PRO model from this Logitech Press Room path: " [Link: assets.logitech.com]".
