Not sure how to explain this one. How can I do this....This is how I would like to set up an activity. Hit the DVR activity button, everything turns on, lights dim and the DVD tray opens. Hit another button, tray closes, lights turn off, ambient light behind TV turns on and movie starts....

Possible? Yes? No? Maybe?!

You could do it with another activity that includes the same devices by putting the commands in the activity start sequence. OR........

Assuming that hitting play on your DVD with the tray open will cause the tray to close and start playing, go to the customize activity buttons page and in the row with the Play button select the appropriate commands from the DVD (Play), lights (off), ambient light (off). You'll have to have a separate device for each command so you might have to add duplicate copies of your light controller (e.g.).

You could set up a "Load DVD" activty and a "Play DVD" activity.

Thanks! Im going to try it tonight. I have to figure out what Im going to do with my lighting situation also. I put a Lutron Maestro Dimmer right next to a Spacer System Dimmer and I guess they run on similar commands so I don thave full control of them..

You might want to set lights to dim when you close the DVD tray, in my DVD activity I have eject/close on the LCD screen and to that button I added my preset dim command. Then for the Play button you should be able to add lights off and ambient light on. The eject tray you can add to start of activity as mentioned above.

I know on my DVD player simply hitting play won't close the tray and play the movie, it'll close the tray but just start the previews if any.
