How about this for the ultimate button mapping software:
We'd have a picture of the remote on the left side of the screen with lines to each button. Drop boxes at the end of each line show either the default key name, or what you've remapped. If you want to remap a key, you hit the drop box, select Define and the software takes you through the same steps as the website does now.
On the right hand side of the screen would be your complete menu hierarchy. As you move through the hierarchy with your pointer, you see on the left of the screen how your buttons change with each menu selection. Of course, manipulating this menu structure would be a simple click and drag, and a right mouse click would allow you to insert or delete menu items.
This would all take place on your own computer, and you upload to the Harmony website when you are done.

...and if we also could have seen which IR (all of them if multiple) are sent when clicking on a button, we'd have a very good visualization of the setup (i.e: a new online simulator)
