The motion sensor on my 880 seems to have gone south--I now have to push a button to get the remote to wake up. Merely picking up the remote no longer does the trick.

When I bought the remote at Best Buy during the summer, I got a product replacement plan along with it. I can't decide if I'd be better off going to BB for a replacement or if I should contact Logitech for service...I'm wary of being blackballed by BB if I need to replace it again in the future, since it's now so early (relatively) in the lifespan of the plan. Any thoughts/experience/advice on the matter? It'd be much appreciated...

Take it back to BB. That is why you bought the replacement plan..right? If you contact Logitech, you will spend hours talking through every scenario to figure out the the issue.

It is up to you :)

Forgive me if this posting is not required, but you haven't accidently turned off the sensor in the general settings?

I have noticed that my sensor is getting less 'sensitive' as time goes on.

Hi

I have just experienced the same problem with my 880 (only about 6 weeks old) not 'waking' when raised. Does anyone know how common this problem is and if there is an explanation? Until now I have been very happy with the remote. Any suggestions for rectifying the problem would be welcome. Understand the changes to settings mentioned earlier would be on the website config set-up, not the remote itself. I have definitely not changed anything there in the last couple of weeks to cause this.

Regards
Julie

This problem is common, take the battery pack out of the remote and put it back in, that should fix the problem. I have had my remote for a long time just before it was released and its happened to me once so far.

This was happening to me and all I did was run an update with it hooked up to the computer. Worked fine after that. I think you should just run a maintenance update maybe twice a month. Couldn't hurt.

Sorry; hit the enter button too fast! Did the update fix help?
