Hello,

As mentioned in a previous thread, I just purchased an SST-768 which I haven't even received yet, but I'm trying to learn as much as I can prior to actually receiving the remote. Sorry if this is too much of a "newbie" question...

I'm wondering if it is possible, or if anyone has tried saving your CD jukebox album and title information into the SST-768. With XML programming, I'm thinking that just about anything is possible, but from what I could find, there has been little to no discussion on the topic, and the Harmony Remote website does not go into any detail on this.

If the SST-768 has 2 MB of memory, there should be a fair bit of room to hold this type of info. However, I'm not sure how much of the 2 MB would be chewed up by the TV listings...

Any info or experiences would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Shneebs.

Hello, shneebs.
I don't have a CD Jukebox myself, but I think this is possible. I don't know if the memory capacity will be a problem, but I think the XML-programming will be the bottleneck. Another problem will be when You changes CD's in Your Jukebox. Then You have to reprogram the remote to reflect the changed CD.

Here's what I would have tried:
Create a menusystem in Your "Play CD Jukebox" activity. The menusystem should have 2 levels where level 1 correspond to the albums in the Jukebox, and menuitem 2 correspond to the titles on each album.

Level 1)
The first level in this menusystem should contain Album menuitems. Each menuitem should correspond to one CD in the Jukebox. Pressing a menuitem in level 1 should do 2 things:
A) Send correct IR (or IR combinations) to the CD jukebox so the correct CD is loaded.
B) Open the correct Level 2 menu which contains the titles of the selected album.

Level 2)
The second level should contain Title menuitems. Each menuitem should correspond to one title of the selcted CD in the jukebox. Pressing a menuitem in level 2 should do 1 thing:
A) Send correct IR (or IR combinations) to the CD jukebox so the correct title starts playing.

The menusystem must also have navigation possibilites: When pressing MenuCancel in Level 1, this should open the Play Mode in the activity. When pressing MenuCancel in Level 2, this should open Level 1 in the menusystem (and maybe highlight the correct Album menuitem.)

In this menusystem there must exist a Title-menu for each Album. So if You have a Jukebox with 25 CD's, You have a big job...

Hope this help. Good luck

JI
