How does the Harmony know the current state of devices so that it can go to another activity? Does it rely on you telling it an initial state and then you hope nothing gets out of synch? My TV's inputs and all of my powers buttons do not have discrete codes! Tell me its got a magic sensor. :) Ken

It keeps an internal state.
Most of my compnients do not have descrete codes, but it still works very well. It also has a help button if things do get out of sync it just asks a bunch of yes/no to fix the problem. Many programmable remotes rely on decrete codes, but the harmony does not. I have only had a problem once or twice in the two months I've had it.
