Does it have Pana PT-45LC12 discreet input codes? I have tried a number of other universal remotes (non-fully-programmable because of price) and they all have one failing - no discreet codes for my TV.

This feature would be the "killer app" that would get me to purchase this device.

Something I can live without but would be nice is discreet aspect ratio codes?

Thanks!

Yes, the PT-45LC12 is one of the television choices on the Harmony website.

I have a new Toshiba 34HDX82 TV, and although it wasn't listed, the codes for last year's model work fine. You press the power button on the device remote while pointing it at the Harmony, and the website then suggests compatible models.

I added the Pana PT-45LC12 to my device list and took a look at the IR commands that Harmony has for this TV. It looks like Harmony has discreet inputs for the following: Tuner, video1, video2, video3 and Component1.

This isn't a guarentee that they are right and I have no way of verifying the codes. However if your TV supports discret inputs then I would assume them to be accurate. The worst case scenerio would be that they have the wrong codes. You could either let them know about the codes and see if they can correct them or and you would need to run out to Radio shack and pick up one of their cheap universal remotes that also have extended discrete codes in them... I picked one up for about $20-$30. I used it all the time when I was programming my old MX-500. I have yet to need to use it with the Harmony. The database has been very accurate for all of my equipment. I'd feel pretty confident that it'll do what you are looking for, but if you have more questions or want a definitive answer drop harmony customer support an email. They should be able to tell you for sure.

Hope that helps.

I have the Sony 36XBR400 TV with video 5&6 being Component Video Inputs. The 768 was able to go right to those inputs where others were not including Sony's Best AV 3000 remote which could not. Go to www.surfremotecontrol.com. They have it for 269 & you might still get free 2nd day shipping. They also give you another cheaper remote free for another room. If I were you I would get it now & enjoy it. This remote puts every remote out there obsolete because it is FEMALE FRIENDLY!!
