I tried to program a Pronto Pro to do what I wanted and it was just too cumbersome. In short I spent many many hours and I just couldn't get the macros to function properly. You really need state variables like you have with the Harmony. 20 minutes after receiving my Harmony I had all the basic functionality working. An hour later tweaking surround modes and inputs and it works like a charm. The XML is really easy and powerful. I am in one touch heaven. I am truly amazed. I love that it gets the surround mode correct and the video input correct for the type of activity. This doesn't just REPLACE the 8 remotes I own like the Pronto Pro does. This is BETTER than the functionality of the other 8 remotes combined. It isn't as flashy looking, but functionality is superior. It is cheaper and easier to use. Harmony took all the feedback they received on the 745 and created an awesome product in the 768. I LOVE THIS REMOTE!
