I submitted my problem to their customer support service one week ago, and have not received yet anything in return. I am trying to post it here.... maybe you are better than they are:

As "TV" the remote is set to be with the Thomson, but there are some functions that are not working properly and they are the Up,Down,Left,Right,Ok functions of remote joystick plus the InputNext(AV).
I will try to explain what's wrong but it's not easy: when I first push any of these buttons, the Tv accepts the command properly, but if I push the same button again, that button is not working anymore, until I push something else. For example if I want to scroll down a menu with the Down button, I can make just the first step down and than the cursor won't go down anymore (thing that it's doing with the original remote and also with other universal remotes I have). To be able to go down further I have to press another button, it doesn't matter which, and after that the Tv will accept one more time the Down button. So if I want to go down three steps on the Tv Menu I have to press: Down,Guide,Down,Guide,Down. while it should obviously be just three taps of the correct button. The same thing is happening with the other buttons above mentioned and I don't know if with some else. I tried to teach all these buttons via Infrared both Raw and Normal. I tried to change the waiting settings and the volume settings (but you have to consider that other functions of the remote work properly). I tried to change Tv to another Thomson. I tried to teach the commands from another universal remote. Now I really don't knoe what else I can do.

Is this understandable or is it to messy???
I thank you all in advance

Try calling tech support. They're very good and are open evenings UK time (and, it's a free call).

00 800 2911 5055

They're working on a problem with my 885 at the moment and are coming back with updates to the configuration within 24 - 48 hours.
I'll get it right one day...

I know your problem. It took them about a week to respond to my questions. And it seems like the initial response is generic. But since that first response, they have been responding to me on a daily to every other day. Not always to my point, but getting closer. WOuld be easier to call, but I'm just bad on the phone. :)

Thanks for your answers, but I do prefer e-mails because I'm Italian and I wouldn't want to start a long phone process I am not sure I can handle properly.

p.s. there is no Italian support

This sounds like a similar problem reported on PCs having to do with a toggle bit in the IR command. The remote waits for a toggle bit to change so that it knows it's a new IR command. On PCs the fix was to hack the registry to turn off that behavior. Not sure about a Thomson TV.

Support is a little backed up (probably because of all the 880 issues and new users). What exact brand and model TV do you have?

The Tv is the Thomson 44RW67ES (retroprojector sold with the Thomson remote rct4130s) The strange thing is that almost all the other buttons for this TV work properly. Also note that I have a couple of other low priced universal remotes that learned very easily these buttons.

I found this on another forum for another remote. Do you think that this is the problem ??? Do you think Logitech can solve it ??

"Does learning the TV commands into the MX-500 work OK? Can you press
any numeral twice and does it register? I decoded a Pronto file for
a Thomson TV (not the exact model) and it looks like that one uses
what we call Protocol ID 0045 that has as its first bit a toggle
bit. Usually those are difficult to learn because the equipment
wants to see this Toggle bit change in order to detect when you have
sent the second press of the same button. So entering Channel 111
would look like 1 to the receiver where 101 would work fine."

Hello!
I have received my H675 yesterday and I have the same prob with my Thomson CRT TV!!!

I have found a trick for the moment:
->learn in RAW mode each button and then very quickly short press on the "play" button that I have on my remote..so the Harmony sends the function then the play button code which has no effect on my TV...But it works//cons it's slow...

No answer from logitech for this toggle bit problem?

Hi!
I just purchased the 659 and have the exact same problem described in this thread with a Thomson set-top box. I've opened a ticket at the Logitech site 3 days ago - still no response except for the automatic one.
In the meantime I bypassed the problem by programming all keys in Raw, and by pressing an unused key immediately after each real key. It works; maybe a bit slow, but not really noticeable.
Anyway - if I get a response from Logitech I'll post it here.

Thanks guys in this forum for all the information,
Ariel

Hi again,

I just received a response from Logitech support. Took them a week to get back, but finally they did.
Despite my detailed explanations about the toggle bit etc., they didn't explain anything. They just told me they made some changes to my account, and that I should upload the changes to the device and try. And indeed - the new settings for my Thomson settop box worked fine. Which means that the Harmony is capable of handling this toggle bit. However, in their database not all the keys were mapped; therefore - new keys I added had the same problem, and I was forced to use the old method of recording in Raw with an extra press on an unused key at the end.
Anyway - I now have the original keys working perfect, and the rest working fine as well. So I'm pleased. :-)

Good luck to all others with the same problem!
Ariel

Hello!
I have called the harmony support, and like you, the guy has made a change in my account and everything now is working fine! (moreover I have found all keys in their database so I don't have to use my trick with the raw method!!!)

I'm now a VERY happy owner of the H675 !!!
