Total newbie--tried to program my delightful H880 last night, and did great until the Bose section. The Phillips Plasma, the DVD, the PVR, the VCR, the cable--running like a dream. But now I still need to hang on to the Bose remote due to this whole IR vs UHF thing...Do I really need a C-1024, or can I somehow circumnavigate??
Thank you!

I believe certain Bose equipment can be used in RF or IR mode.

from my knowledge base...only the Bose Lifestyle 18 38 & 48 are compatible. These are the new ones with HD music storage.

I have a 50, and using the C-1024 it can control the Bose fine. The C-1024 also lists the 30 and the 40 as things it can control. My guess is this is required. It definately is required for the 50.

Not correct. I have a LifeStyle 28 series I and use it with an 880. I think all Bose models are found in the Harmony database. The key is to follow your Bose guide to make it accept IR commands.

I have a Bose Lifestyle 30 Series II. You need the C-1024. Works beautifully.

I have a Bose Lifestyle 25 Series II and desperately want to find a good all-in-one remote! I think the Harmony might be it, but before I put the money down I want to try to find confirmation that it will work with my Bose. Anyone using it with the Lifestyle 25 Series II?

"The key is to follow your Bose guide to make it accept IR commands."
Is it spelled out in the user guide? I didn't see anything about this. What did you have to do?

I have a Lifestyle 35 system, and I'm also having problems with getting my Harmony 880 to work with it (even when I switch the "Accept IR Signals" on). Do you know if you need the C-1024 with the Lifestyle 35?
