Just curious to know if the harmony remote can control X10 stuff. Looking @ getting some dimmers for my can lights in the basement, and would love to control it via my remote.

I just got my 880 and I'm curious about using it for x10. With my Pronto NG, I could setup a macro and assign it to one button to send the commands to select House Code A, light 4, then ON to turn on the living room lights... Can I get the 880 to do the same or do I have to hit 3 separate buttons to select House Code, Light #, Function (on/off)?

Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Putting all three commands on one button for use in an activity is not likely to work - you would have to learn them together as one long RAW command, and many have had trouble getting more than two commands to work as one. Alternatively, if you are looking at issuing the three commands at the start or end of an activity, then it is certainly possible - the activity setup wizard gives you the opportunity to add any command sequence to the beginning / end of an activity.

If you have a X-10 controller you should be able to setup and Event (X-10 term for Macro) and then assign it to a House Code. Then have the IR trigger that House Code, thus the Event.

You can also use the Pronto IR commands listed in the "Files" section of this site. There are modified X10 single IR commands that trigger sequences such as A + 6 + On or B + 11 + Dim, ect...
