I already wrote this post buit i think it got lost, so if it comes up twice..sorry in advance. For those interested in the Harmony after reading the new york times review, here are some corrections on the review I thought people should know since I love my Harmony.
There is a 1-800 number, it is in an insert in the box. The reviewer must not have looked hard enough or something.
If your system gets out of "sync" you do not have to get up to resync it. There is a "help" button on the Harmony thats asks question pertaining to the state you are in. So for watching a movie it would say, "is your vcr on?" if you say "no" but it should be on, the harmony will send the ir to turn it on. It does this until your system is in sync. So even if your kid turns your receiver to a different input while your watching, you never have to get your butt out of the chair because of the "help" button (unless you want to)
Aswell it knows what state you are in, so if you are watching a tape, and want to watch a dvd, it knows what devices to turn off, and which to turn on and what inputs to set them too. Sweet i think
