i picked up a harmony 880 and the location of play/pause/ff/rw/etc are annoying me. i just want something that will work with 'everything' (moxi, tivo, dvd, receiver) and be as close to the original tivo remote in terms of buttons as possible.

Try the 676 or 680 - that's as close as you can get with a Harmony.

You'll get used to the buttons in a few days. Nothing will be perfect, but as akirby said, the 676 and 680 are as close as you're going to find.
