I have this scenario:
Before going to bed at night, I set my TV to a music channel with a sleep timer of 90 minutes. These are the actions that need to be performed for this task:

- set PVR to music channel
- set PVR to sleep in 90 min
- set Stereo receiver to TV/Sat input
- set Stereo receiver to sleep in 90 min
- turn TV off
Is there a way to create an activity to do this? Right now, if I manually turn off the TV and set the timers, in the morning the "Watch TV" activity will not work directly because the devices are off and it thinks they should already be on. Any ideas?

Thanks.

No, there is no way of doing this right now.

I find it kinda funny that my 880 will tell me the time of day but it is not capable of using that function to its advantage... like if lets say I want to program my lights to turn on in the kitchen when i press the pause button on my remote they will turn on all the time no matter if its day or ngiht.

It would be nice if I could tell the remote to only execute those commands after a certain time of night. And It would be nice if you can set shutdown timers for them too :P

Basically you need "Activity Exit Timers" so that it will automatically exit an activity, thus turning everything off after a set time.

You can do an activity for that. It will only include the PVR and receiver, so it will automatically turn off the TV. The activity will select the right inputs and you can even tell it to start the activity on a specific channel (I think). Then you can add the commands to set the timers at the beginning of the activity. If your PVR and receiver have discrete power commands then you should be fine. If they have toggles then you might need to hold your hand over the emitters and hit off before choosing another activity, but it should work.

Ya, that's just the thing - the PVR has toggles for the power. It would be nice if all devices had separate on/off commands. I can do what you suggested, but I want to simplify it for my girlfriend - I can imagine the conversation now - "You bought this $200 remote that is supposed to do everything and I need to hold my hand over it to turn it off?". I don't think she'd understand. I think a "Recover" activity would be good that tells the remote that all devices are off.

If you're the one that selects the activity at bedtime, just cover the emitters and hit off right after choosing the activity. When you wake up in the morning everything will be off including the harmony.

The other option is to just leave the PVR on all the time. Won't hurt anything.
