Anyone succeeded in controlling lights from Harmony using the IR543 X10 controller? I just bought Harmony and it came with a complimentary IR543 controller. I am already controlling the lights from an old OneForAll 7800 Remote (using the IR543).

I am trying to control lights from EasyZapper via IR. I already control my lights from a OneForAll Cinema 7 (7800) Remote.

The Harmony Web Site advertises that X10 control is available, but when I select manufacturer (X10) the Web Site indicates that the X10 database has no model numbers in it, therefore cannot Set up that device.

BTW: Where is the "Learning" sensor on the EasyZapper? I am not able to make it "Learn" from any of my Other Remotes.

Hi SAM, I copied below my post written on 03/28/02.
The EZ-zapper works great with X10. when I started, there was no X10 available on Harmony web site, so I had to create it from scratch importing codes from a Pronto remote CFF file. It will be easier for you since you've got already a remote to learn from.
Please note that the learning sensor of the EZzapper is at the back of the remote, NOT with the 2 visible IR leds. Good luck!

From previous post 28/03/02:
I just purchased an Infrared minicontroller (IR7243) which convert IR signal to X10 RF commands.

I converted the X10 code from a Pronto CFF file using the Harmony's "Infrared Analysis Center"

As there is no appropriate device family yet on the Harmony's website, I "added" the IR7243 as a new monitor (I guess laptop would even be better),
didn't look for new activities of course, and didn't characterize it.

I created my own commands: "All Light On", "All lights Off", "1" to "16", "On", "Off", "Dim", and "Bright", ...

for example: I remapped the ZAP button in "Watch a DVD" to perform a suite of X10 orders to switch off the lights I don't need, turn on and dim the ambiance light before the movie starts... nice.

I'd recommend to embed a specific X10 menu to each of your existing activities rather than having a separate activity for X10, since this latter would turn off all your TV, DVD, ... devices when "changing activity"

has the website for this product been updated yet to include the X10 IR codes? Or are we still having to "teach" it the codes?

Thanks.
