We are pleased to announce the release of the “Fast Digitize” tool for creating and editing your device languages. The new tool, along with supporting web page changes allows you to digitize new commands or re-digitize existing commands with fewer mouse clicks and in a fraction of the time.

Using the “Edit Language for this device (Digitize infrared commands).” link you can now see a simple and concise list of IR commands, the “Fast Digitize” link and the origin of the current infrared command. If you want to digitize any command, just click on the “Fast Digitize” link and you will be guided through the process before being automatically returned to the list of IR commands. To add a new command simply type in the command name at the bottom of the page and click on “Fast Digitize”.

Automated return to the IR command list demonstrates a significantly improved integration between web pages and the device tutor application.

Enjoy,

Harmony Remote Team

I have noticed something similar but in tracking it on my system it has come down to being one simple thing. If you are going from channel 99 to say 110, for some reason the cable box only sees 10. Once that happens, everything from there seems to be out of whack in surfing. For reference, I am using a Scienitific Atlanta Cable box.

Except for the FAVORITES mode, I have remapped my channel keys to perform the ChannelUp and ChannelDown functions of my Satellite Receiver:

(1)It's much quicker than having the Harmony execute the commands for EACH NUMBER (then ENTER);
(2)By editing what channels are ACTIVE on my Satellite Receiver (nothing to do with the Harmony Remote) and removing those channels which I don't watch at all, the ChannelUp and ChannelDown functions become even more efficient;
(3)In the FAVORITES mode for the Harmony, the Harmony will still execute the numeric sequence if I need it to go to a SPECIFIC CHANNEL that I selected via the wheel.

This makes surfing much more efficient for me.
