This is actually quite neat, since we find out how someone else would associate the two words where we wouldn't. However, I thing there needs to be a maximum of one or maybe two degrees of separation.

I think a few of us have decided to play obscure association:-), where we try and think of a word that is related, but not obvious

also I agree with your car/plasma example, on the other hand there is the plasmacar or plasma is a gas and a car uses gas

I like the obscure association idea. It can be fun.

I like the other way too.

But, I guess we're always going to have people who Google the two words and find a correlation.

So, I'm still going to go with something that I think has no correlation at all, and then if someone does find a relationship, then I'll learn from it.

This, I think, is going to be a very fun thread!

Good idea, Daniel!

bombs: Liquid rock (magma) thrown through the air during an eruption. Spindle bombs form from very fluid magma and are streamlined as they fly through the air.

Spindle bombs

Hmmmmmmmm...... interesting. I'm going to learn some serious stuff and a LOT of trivia along the way! Cool!
