By functionality I mean the power status feature etc, although you can find many discrete codes to take care of this 'problem' too. The ocelot will also allow you to use X10, contact closure, voice announcement, and many other home automation features.

Matt, I think you've missed the concept of the Niles. Its a less is more approach. There are advantages to a simple, low tech, intuitive interface. Some people just want to watch the movie. Of course there are times when an IntelliControl is not enough, some systems and some users just require more control or more feedback. But, more features do not always indicate a better product. I do agree, BTW that the Ocelot is one heck of a fine product, and a problem solver as well.

Indeed, but, I didn't intend that a do it yourselfer would use the ocelot and pronto...I am in the business and sell this combo to my clients so they don't have to program all of it...I do. So in their eyes, they get a very comarable product for 1/4 the cost of the big names.
Guess that's what I meant.
