I sent in a bunch of new devices for URC MX remotes to remote central's upload area (emailed them back with the files attached, etc), and they still haven't put them up. It's been probably 3-4 weeks. How long does it take for them to get the files onto the site?

it is a manual process (at least the prep work of going through the configs), and Daniel (site admin/owner) does it in batch jobs when he has some free time

So do you have a ballpark idea maybe? Like a few weeks, 6 months, 3 years? I just wanted a general idea really, have some files that could be really helpful to alot of people. :)

Thanks for the reply,
Mike

I received your files on the 12th, so it hasn't been THAT long yet. I've been tied up lately with reviews, so files will get done when they get done! :-)

Yeah, I sure can't wait for all the fame and fortune it's going to bring me... need a rolleyes macro on this forum.

..or maybe, just maybe I wanted a *ballpark* idea of how long it takes since I've never uploaded files to remotecentral.com before, like my original post stated?

PS - Thanks for the reply Daniel, I'm certainly not being impatient, I simply figured with all of the regulars around here someone would have an approximate guess. 6 replies later, I guess I was wrong! :)

We regulars are not into posting very serious replies, as you probably have noted, in the Intermission Forum.

But, as Daniel noted, he inserts files whenever he has the chance, and usually notifies of the files being in the file section by the NEWS on the side of the page.

So, watch for that, and you'll know when the files have been placed in the appropriate place.

Greg :-)

I'll likely get to files after the next review goes up. They take a fair bit of time.

Greg, the files tend to go up in bunches, they can be posted long before the What's new

We cannot tell you
1) We have never timed it
2) You might be the first or you might be the last before they get posted, and the amount of time it takes between that is long
3) Like I said, depends on Daniel, so there is no fixed schedule. When he has enough of them, has the time, and is in the mood he does it.
